この度のJapan expo 2017の出展では、藍染めの作品を取り入れました。

いつかしてみたいと、長年思っていたこと。

まだ徳島にも藍染和紙はあまりないとのことで、自分のイメージをお伝えした上で、実験的に染めていただきました。

仕上がってきた染めの美しいこと！

やっぱり良いですね✨

天然ならではの色味や風合いが、ほんとに魅力的！

墨も筆も文字も紙に合わせて使えばいいので、そのことは気になさらず、より美しい藍染めを表現できる紙に、とお願いしました。

江戸時代、海外の科学者達が来日した際、衣類や暖簾など、街中にたくさんの藍色を目にし、それをJapan Blueと称したそうです。

そんな美しい阿波藍を、海外の方にも実際に見ていただきたい…徳島の色を、この度のテーマにしたいと思いました。

In this exhibition, we have incorporated indigo dye work.
What I wanted to do someday, I thought for many years.
It was still in Tokushima that there was not much indigo dye paper, so after telling my image I experimented with dyeing.
Beautiful things about finished dyed!
After all it is good, indigo.
Color and texture unique to natural, really attractive!
Both inks, brushes and letters should be used in accordance with the paper, so I did not care about that and asked for paper that can express more beautiful indigo dye.
During the Meiji era, when foreign scientists came to Japan, they saw a lot of indigo colors in the streets, such as clothing and goodwill, that they called it Japan Blue.
If you can actually see such a beautiful Awa indigo for overseas people … I thought that I would like to make the theme of Tokushima the theme of this time.
